Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1 tspn baking powder
  • ½ cup sliced aubergine/ eggplant
  • 1 green chilli sliced
  • ¼ cup chopped green coriander
  • 4 button mushrooms sliced
  • 1 potato thinly sliced
  • ½ cup paneer (small cubes)
  • Little spinach leaved chopped
  • ¼ cup sliced capsicum
  • ¼ cup chopped cauliflower
  • 1 tbspn coriander mint chutney
  • Some salt
  • 1 ½ tspn red chilli powder
  • ½ tspn turmeric
  • 1 tbspn dry coriander
  • 1 tspn cumin seeds
  • 1 tbspn fenugreek leaves
  • 1 onion sliced
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Some water for batter (around ½ – ¾ cup)

Procedure:

-Sift besan and baking powder.

-Slice all vegetables and put them in a mixing bowl.

-Add all spices and sifted besan.

-Add all spices and mix well all the dry ingredients with vegetables.

-Gradually add water and mix with your hands.

-Make a lump free mixture with vegetables.

-Keep aside for 30 minutes.

-Heat oil and add spoon full of batter in it. Keep them away from each other.

-When they are brown, take them out on an absorbent paper and serve hot with tamarind sauce and mint coriander chutney.

Outcome:

Tasty mixed vegetable pakoras are ready to serve.

Serves 6.

Chicken Steak With Mashed Potatoes And Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 2 chickn breasts
  • 4 potatoes peeled
  • 1 chicken cube
  • Some salt
  • 2 cups water
  • Some cracked black pepper

Procedure:

-Heat grill pan and grill chicken breasts on it until well done.

-Take it out in a plate and season it with some salt.

-Peel 4 potatoes and wash them. Heat in microwave for 7 minutes.

-Take it out and allow to cool. Mash them and keep aside on serving plate.

-Boil water and dissolve one chicken cube in it, add some cracked black pepper and stir. Stir in cornflour mixture and after a minute pour it over boiled mashed potatoes.

-Serve hot with grilled tomato and potatoes.

Outcome:

Tasty chicken steak with mashed potato and gravy is ready to serve.

Tips:

-Season chicken breast with very little amount of salt because the gravy served with that is also salty.

Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes sliced thinly
  • 2 cups gram Flour
  • ¾ cup water
  • Some salt
  • Some red chilli powder
  • ½ tspn turmeric powder
  • 1 tbspn cracked dry coriander
  • ½ tspn cumin seeds
  • ½ onion sliced
  • 2 green chillies sliced
  • Oil For Frying

Procedure:

-Combine all the ingredients except oil in a bowl and make Fine mixture.

-Keep aside For 20 – 30 minutes and heat oil.

-Take 1 tbspn of this mixture and deep Fry

-Take out on an absorbent paper and serve immediately.

Outcome:

Tasty aalu pakore are ready to be served.

-Avoid lumps and do not make thin mixture.

-Adjust salt and pepper according to your will.

  • 2 cups of gram Flour
  • ¾ cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbspn red chilli powder
  • ½ tspn turmeric powder
  • ½ tspn cumin seeds
  • 1 potato sliced
  • ½ egg plant sliced
  • 1 – 2 green chillies sliced
  • Oil For Frying
  • ½ tspn cracked dry coriander
  • ½ onion sliced

Procedure:

-Mix all the ingredients given except oil and mix well.

-Keep aside For 20 – 30 minutes.

-Heat oil. Now take a tbspn of this mixture and Fry, try to use your hands to make Pakoras.

-Take out on an absorbent paper and serve hot.

Outcome:

Tasty potato eggplant Pakoras are ready to be served.

Potato Spinach Pakoras (Aalu Palak Pakora*)

Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes (French Fries cut)
  • 2 cup gram Flour
  • ½ cup sliced spinach
  • Some salt
  • Some red pepper
  • Some coarsely ground coriander
  • Some cumin seeds
  • ¼ tspn turmeric powder
  • Water (as required) ( 1 cup)
  • Oil For deep Frying

Procedure:

-Heat oil.

-Combine gram Flour and all the seasonings and add water to make a smooth paste.

-Add potato and spinach in it and mix.

-Now scoop out one tbspn of this mixture into hot oil and deep Fry.

-Take out on an absorbent paper and serve hot with chutney.

Outcome:

Tasty Pakoras are ready to be served.

Potato Hash Browns

Potato hash browns is one of the Favourite things in breakfast For Maoris, local people of New Zealand. These people are Fond of potatoes and try to add them in their meals on daily basis. This is awesome, do try this and make your day …

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups peeled and shredded russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Procedure:

-Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

-In a large bowl, add shredded potatoes and cover with cold water – let stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Drain, rinse potatoes and then drain well again. Pat potatoes dry with paper towels or give them a whirl in a salad spinner.

-In a large bowl, toss together potatoes, cornstarch, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder until well combined.

-Place a 3″ round biscuit cutter on baking sheet coated with non-stick spray. Scoop about ½ cup of the potato mixture into the biscuit cutter and lightly press down. Gently lift up the cutter, being careful to leave the potato patties intact. Repeat the procedure with remaining potato mixture. Coat tops of potato patties with olive oil cooking spray. Bake for 20 minutes – carefully turn them over and continue to bake until golden bowl, about 15 more minutes.

Outcome:

Tasty potato hash brownies are ready to be served with any sort of breakfast or in Veggie burger.
